GameWing began in early July 2004 by an exhausted and overworked elementary school computer teacher who was tired of monitoring, policing and booting kids off of shoot 'em up, blood-and-guts games during summer camp. So it occurred to this teacher that it might be a good idea to make a game site that everyone could play, kids and grown-ups alike. This was the spark of creative genius (ha! genius...if you knew me you would think that was funny!) that has become GameWing. The primary reason for creating GameWing was to make a site with content that I didn't have to be concerned about. You will find no excessive violence, nudity or other 'inappropriate' content on the site because the games are prescreened (although I'm certainly not perfect). While this site is family friendly, it is not exclusively for kids. In fact, GameWing has some really great free games for ages 8 - 108 and anywhere in between. While some games on this site may be too difficult for younger players, none of the games are inappropriate with regard to excessive violence, language, gore or other similar types of content. The goal of GameWing is to keep this site fun, free and safe while always trying to have fresh and exciting content.

Although you may have options to purchase a full version or extra components of a game at your discretion from this site, our games are always free. As mentioned above, our range of games is challenging for nearly all age groups, young and old alike. We hope you enjoy GameWing.com and visit often.
